We have all heard the saying “use it or lose it”, and as we age, our muscle mass diminishes. Strength training can help develop strong bones, control your weight,  and more recently has been linked to improving attention and focus. I need this!  
 
 
Definition Fit is the place to go for TRX or as the military calls it, Tactical Suspension Trainer. TRX was invented by former Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick and  even though it is the lightest, most versatile functioning training system, all of that does not equal EASY! 
 
 
Tom Johnson’s TRX POWER Hour will get you moving, sweating, and grunting for a water break within the first 10 minutes! His energy is great, the workout is diverse and not only are you developing stronger bones, but you are improving your attention and focus because the exercises are never the same. This class is done in a group setting, but Tom also offers private training which I have done many times. The private sessions help me focus on the muscle group as well as learn proper alignment for my hands and feet which is important with TRX.

Some exercises are done on the straps (TRX) and some are done off with weights. This combination quickly tires the focused muscle group which is the desired result. Bring water, towel and I usually get a protein shake after TRX to help ease the pain.
 
 
 
Definition Fit has choices of plenty, with trainers Daemian and Katie and others. Check out their website for a list of classes as well as trainers. I never leave disappointed.
